The challenge

Our standard product N4WHEELS has proven itself in numerous projects as a tire and wheel shop in the B2B sector over the past years, delighting tens of thousands of users. But why limit it to just B2B? With the wheel and tire shop for Wheelscompany GmbH, we also seized the opportunity to showcase our expertise in the B2C market.

At Wheelscompany the company’s executives prioritize providing their customers with the best possible shopping experience and outstanding service, in line with their 100% service satisfaction guarantee.

This commitment was reflected in the requirements for the rim shop. During the planning phase, UI/UX design played a significant role. Following an iterative process, our team designed and custom-developed the shop in close collaboration with the client.

The solution

The heart of the shop is the 3D rim configurator. With this tool, users can personalize their vehicles by changing the color, adjusting the car’s suspension, or selecting different backgrounds for the stage. This interactive feature allows users to visualize the desired product in a realistic environment, making the purchasing decision easier. The integration of various payment options, such as PayPal, the use of vouchers, or monthly installments through Santander, not only caters to the end customer’s shopping preferences but also simplifies the checkout process. The purchase completion is also simplified in combination with diverse login options, such as Google or Apple.

Although it is a B2C shop, we leveraged the proven logic of our B2B standard product: a dedicated N4WHEEL B2B shop runs in the background, seamlessly transferring all data and logic to the end-customer shop. This facilitates data management and process optimization for both Wheelscompany and us while allowing the customer to benefit from new functionalities of the standard product despite individual development.

For us, a project doesn’t end with the go-live; on the contrary, we continuously improve the product based on customer feedback and observing user behavior. In the case of the B2C rim shop, it has become evident that many users access the e-commerce solution from a mobile device. Therefore, our next step is a redesign with a specific focus on the mobile presentation of the shop and fast loading times.
