The AD Vimotion GmbH from Unterensingen near Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg designs, produces and distributes high-quality aluminium rims with focus on the tuning sector via its brands Oxigin, Carmani and Oxforged. Through its online shops, the company addresses both wholesalers and end consumers, to whom it offers a range of over 16,000 individual items in rim sizes between 15 and 22 inches.
The previous ERP system was only able to efficiently map the partially complex customer-specific processes to
a limited extent.
In addition, maintaining the extensive master data took too much time because the system could not be operated intuitively. The new ERP system should also be able to create automated bills of materials. The difficulty that arises is that numerous articles are versions of basic articles that are finished with stickers or varnishes. This results in a large number of product variants. And since the assortment is also displayed on different platforms, the creation of a virtual inventory of these "special articles" - as well as the price calculation - represented an additional obstacle. Because sales were also to be supported by a rim configurator, this also had to be integrated into the ERP system.
The main focus is on customer-specific processes. First of all, we analyzed the existing master data.
a migration, we don't just need to know what will be (newly) mapped in the future, but also how the
inventory data will fit into the system. With the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) from Lobster, we have
standardized all data streams. Whereas there used to be ten formats, there is now only one that
Dynamics NAV can process quickly and easily. We also took a closer look at the customer-specific
Processes such as quotation or invoicing only seem to always run as a uniform process. In reality, every
company and every employee has their own processes, which we take into account. AD Vimotion GmbH has
therefore received the best software in terms of total costs with an intuitive learning curve for the
administrators. They can now connect customers and suppliers much faster. In the future, further
processes will be automated with the help of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
