B2B e-commerce of tomorrow: software by people for people
Just in time for the start of the year, our cross-sector networking event allowed experts from the
industrial sector and the automotive aftermarket to get fresh input and hot tips on digital commerce of
the future – at Saarbrücken Castle and online.
One workshop, two showcases, four discussion rounds, and twelve presentations. This is the summary of
this year's DIGITAL COMMERCE SUMMIT automotive & industry. Under the topic “Knowing today what counts in
tomorrow's B2B e-commerce”, the format went into its third round with a new name. Over the day, it
inspired about 100 participants on-site and nearly 150 viewers in the live stream....
The world of online retail is in a state of upheaval. Changing customer needs, and emerging new
technologies are challenging companies across industries and branches. At the same time, they are paving
the way for the creation of new sales channels.
What is the real significance of digital commerce today and tomorrow? What solutions will keep us going
in the digitalization marathon? We addressed these and other questions in presentations by top-class
speakers such as Felix Benner (HAWE), Thomas Wunsiedler (KNARR), Birthe Lilienthal & Fabian Schwer
(HIWIN), Kolja Prohl (Hämmerling), Michael Weitz (Goodyear), Sebastian Ley (TecAlliance), Steffen Fritz
& Gregor Knosala (GETTYGO) and Gernot Leitner (KTM). In addition to the series of presentations in the
ballroom, the on-site program with showcases, discussion rounds, and workshops also provided new
insights.
Among them: To remain competitive within our digitally networked society, companies – from industry to
the automotive aftermarket – should not only put the customer at the center of their digital sales
strategy. They should also recognize that he is one thing above all: a human being with individual
needs. When customer centricity becomes human centricity, nothing stands in the way of holistic
innovation.
